Lost Tiles and Pink Tiles
2023-24
The images in the Lost Tiles and Pink Tiles series are inspired by the design of the floor tiles in the courtyard of my childhood home. This work explores the foundations shaped by acquired beliefs and values. The depiction of this floor serves as a conceptual metaphor for that base, which undergoes transformation and deconstruction through questioning and reflection. This process can symbolize both a loss of control and, simultaneously, an act of detachment and liberation.
